About Us

Andrea Loubier has been helping students preparing for the SAT and ACT improve their critical thinking and writing skills since 2004. What began as a one-to-one endeavor has broadened into a full scale Critical Writing Workshop designed to introduce and strengthen critical thinking basics for students wanting to score better on the written portion of standardized tests.

Her thoughtful and incisive critiques of practice exams have helped students broaden their outlook, weed out tangential issues, and focus their arguments logically. In addition to her work with SAT/ACT students, she teaches the verbal portion of the GRE through Southern Methodist University's Graduate Test Preparation program.

Prior to this she honed her editorial and writing skills in marketing and editing capacities for several companies including The San Antonio Museum of Art, Direct Solutions International, and the International Newspaper Marketing Association.

Andrea is a graduate of the academically acclaimed Bowdoin College and holds a Master's degree from Southern Methodist University. She was included in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, and is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, the National Tutoring Association, and Mensa, the international high IQ society.
